QuickBooks Desktop 2024, the last regular version, loses support on September 30, 2027. Keep your books on your own computer with DYOB Desktop, or move online. It's your call.

I'm not an accountant. Is this for me?
Yes. That's the point. You work with plain things like invoices, bills and bank lines. DYOB keeps the debits and credits right behind the scenes, and your accountant gets clean reports at year end.
What happens to my data if I leave?
It's yours. Export everything at any time. With Desktop, your books are a file on your own computer, and they still open read-only if you ever cancel.
Is it only for businesses?
No. DYOB keeps books for any entity: a business of any size, a trust, a household, or just you. Each entity has its own books, so your company and your personal finances stay separate.
Can I connect my bank?
Today you import statements from any bank as CSV, OFX or QFX, and your rules sort them. Automatic bank feeds are on the way, and Founding Members get them first.
Does it handle sales tax?
Yes. Set your rates, and DYOB tracks what you collected and paid, with a sales tax report by period, ready for your return.
Does it do payroll?
Not yet. Keep your payroll provider for now and record payroll in your books. Payroll is on our roadmap.
What does it cost?
